The Roadrunner yearbook is published in the spring and distributed to Central School PTA families as a benefit of membership. It reports on noteworthy events from the school year in words and pictures. Roadrunner also features a Snapshots section for each grade, including group photos of every class, and Fifth Grade Memories section.

Fifth grade reporters, who “staff” the yearbook, write the articles with teacher guidance. PTA volunteers develop the story ideas, take photos, and produce the book.

Volunteer for the Roadrunner Yearbook Committee, and you can:

  • Take photos at daytime assemblies, evening events, or during classroom activities
  • Work with teachers to take or collect class photos for one or more grades
  • Distribute the printed yearbook at the end of the school year

Most of all, you will help make the 2007-08 yearbook a valuable keepsake for Central students.

For more information, contact Kim Bolton via email at candkbolton@hotmail.com or see student directory for phone number.

You can also download the original flier as a PDF.

Roadrunner Playground Sign is Misspelled

Yes, we know: Roadrunner is incorrectly spelled Roadunner on the playground sign. The Grounds for Play Company has sent a replacement for the misspelled sign on the train engine, and the sign will be replaced before school starts. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Thanks for the Digital Cameras

Ginny Lee-Herrmann writes:

“Hi. I wanted to thank the PTA for buying digital cameras for the teachers this year. I know I have seen a lot of the photos taken by those cameras decorating the halls through the year. The cameras have also been a huge benefit for the Roadrunner. The teachers have been sending photos to our committee throughout the year. We have also been using CDs that teachers burn from their class computers after downloading the photos. Given the tidal movement toward digital, I can’t tell you how grateful we are to have access to all of these digital photos, rather than traditional photographs. Thank you.”
