Just a reminder: if you no longer wish to receive the Central PTA News Newsletter from FeedBlitz, at the end of every email that is sent there is an unsubscribe link that looks like this:
Stop receiving posts from “Central PTA News” - http://www.feedblitz.com/f/f.fbz?EmailRemove=your-special-code-will-be-here=_ powered by FeedBlitz
We will not be unsubscribing anyone from the newsletter automatically this school year, so if you’d like to stop receiving it, please follow the link found at the bottom of your email.
Hope you’re having a great summer. Stay cool!
Due to circumstances beyond our control, several items were left out of the last newsletter, and several other items have been revised since the newsletter was originally sent. Rather than repost and resend everything, here’s a list of the items that have been changed or added:
We hope to have our act together in March, or at the very latest, April. Thanks for your patience. Send hate mail to chrishajer@gmail.com.
Today we switched to a new service for managing newsletter subscriptions called FeedBlitz. The Central PTA Newsletter will now be mailed to you by FeedBlitz, and it will be created automatically from postings on the website. No more manual editing. Anything that appears on the PTA website will automatically be added to the next newsletter.
Anyone who provided an email address when they joined the PTA is automatically signed up for the digest version of the newsletter. This means that updates will be sent only occasionally, and updates will be saved up for one big mailing. Updates can also be sent to your email on a daily basis if you like. If there are new items added to the website, those updates will be emailed to you automatically shortly after midnight on the day they were posted.
If that’s STILL not quick enough for you, you can also receive RSS updates of new content being added to the site. RSS feeds require a reader or an aggregator. The Firefox browser includes a built in RSS reader, and the forthcoming version of Microsoft Windows, called Vista, also includes Internet Explorer with a built in RSS reader. Until those browsers become more popular, you might want to stick with one of the two email options for receiving updates from the site. You can also skip the email altogether and just visit the site regularly to see what’s new.
If you would like to receive updates from the Central PTA News website automatically, please choose one of the following three options:

The December / January newsletter went out today. If you did not receive a copy in your email, it’s possible something went terribly wrong, or it’s possible we just have the wrong email address for you. Please send an email to chrishajer@gmail.com if you did not receive your newsletter. There were about 15 email addresses that were undeliverable when the newsletter was sent out today: maybe one of the addresses was yours.
An archived copy of the newsletter is available here.
If you have not done so already, you can subscribe to the newsletter right here:
