An unexpected “fire alarm” tripped in Hauser caused Central to postpone the traditional clap-out of the 5th grade class. The alarm went off shortly before 3:00 p.m. and the building was evacuated. Trucks from Riverside and North Riverside responded and students were allowed back in the building to collect their belongings at about 3:20. (There was no fire.)The clap-out will take place on Friday at 8:30 a.m.

Pick up your Innisbrook School Supplies Boxes in the Multi-Purpose Room at Central on August 14 & 15 (Tuesday and Wednesday) from 8:30a - 11:30a. These dates coincide with the 2nd week of the August Summer Session. Please note that the boxes may be too heavy for younger children to carry home. If you will be unable to pick up your boxes, you might want to make arrangements with another family to do so.

Any school supplies boxes which are not picked up will be in the student’s classroom on the first day of school.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Jeannine Glavas at jmcowell92@aol.com or see school directory for telephone number.

For 5th grade parents who have become accustomed to receiving information about Central via this Central PTA website, you’ll be relieved to know that Hauser PTA provides a similar service. According to Hauser parents, communication from the school drops off substantially when students leave the elementary schools, and what communication is sent may sift to the bottom of your student’s locker and remain there until the end of the school year! If you want to be as informed as possible, please sign up for the Hauser PTA “Feedblitz” service to receive e-mails automatically informing you of events and news (see the left side, button to Newsletter Sign-up.) Please do it now before you forget!

Hauser PTA wants to welcome all incoming 6th grade families, and will pay the PTA dues for all the new families. (Of course, if you don’t wish to join you can opt out, but the PTA wants every family to be a part of the “Hauser family.”)
