Due to circumstances beyond our control, several items were left out of the last newsletter, and several other items have been revised since the newsletter was originally sent. Rather than repost and resend everything, here’s a list of the items that have been changed or added:

We hope to have our act together in March, or at the very latest, April. Thanks for your patience. Send hate mail to chrishajer@gmail.com.

Mrs. Moorhead was kind enough to provide the March 2006 lunch menu for Central/Hauser. You can download it as an Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word document.

Of course, the lunch menu is typically available on the District 96 website also, but it’s cooler to have it here, no?

Dear PTA Members,

Greetings and happy 2006! With the holidays behind us, there are many new and exciting things happening around Central School.

The Playground Committee has officially kicked off its fundraising campaign to replace the existing structure and I have to say that I am personally excited to see all the new possibilities taking shape. PLEASE join the Central family on Friday, March 3rd at 7:30 p.m. for a night of fun at the Chicago Wolves hockey game. Many thanks to Lisa Vais and Lisa Veon for all their research and time that they have devoted to ensuring that this event run smoothly and their dedication to making sure that our children have a safe and challenging play structure at Central School. Go Wolves!

The PTA hosted the Family Fun Night in January complete with pizza and entertainment and it gave us all a break from cooking those weekday meals! Special thanks to Kate Pennington, Lori Balk, Betsy Giannini and their crew of volunteers for organizing the event and to Laurie Risley for selecting the entertainment portion of the evening. What great memories our children will have.

Be sure to mark your calendar for Friday, February 17 for the Central PTA sponsored ice skating party at Ridgeland Commons in Oak Park. There is no school that day, so take to the ice and enjoy an afternoon out with your children. See you at the rink!

Best Regards,
Michelle Hejna
PTA President
